When I was 10 my father who is also an artist began teaching me how to work in Silver. I started with a Concho belt that I won an award for and I was bitten by the Artist bug. I have been creating timeless and whimsical items for 20 plus years and follow the shows of other Native Artists. I have won several awards along the way. My most recent show was the Santa Fe Indian Market this past August.
I work in Sterling Silver, Copper, Brass and 14K Gold. My work includes Bracelets, Pendants, Neclaces, Hairties, Bolo ties, Pots and other specialty items. More pictures and pricing will be included at a later time.
My inspiration starts with my family and my heritage. Passed on through the stories of my ancestors both Plains on my mother's side and Kewa on my fathers. I like to create designs based on lines of architecture and the lines of soft and hard that I see when I look at it sometimes I can also use industrial sides also. All my children have been taught some of the art but none have chosen this path so far but I hope to continue to pass my art on and inspire new art and artists.
